Solar & Wind Power Skid with Generator Transfer Switch

unnamed

Project Overview
Infinity Power designed and built a self-contained solar and wind power skid for a remote cabin application requiring reliable, off-grid electrical power. The system integrates renewable energy sources with a backup generator to provide uninterrupted power in a challenging, rural environment.

The Challenge
The Customer needed a flexible and dependable power solution capable of operating independently from the utility grid. Power availability needed to adapt automatically between solar, wind, battery storage, and generator backup — without requiring constant operator intervention. Reliability, safety, and simplicity were critical due to the remote location.

Our Turnkey Solution
Infinity Power engineered a fully integrated renewable energy control skid, combining solar and wind inputs with battery management and an automatic generator transfer switch. The system was designed, assembled, and tested in our shop to verify seamless source switching, load handling, and fault response before delivery.

Results & Benefits
The finished power skid provides continuous, automated power management with smooth transitions between renewable sources and generator backup. The modular design allows for future expansion, while local engineering support ensures the system can be serviced, modified, or scaled as power demands grow.

Key Capabilities

  • Integrated solar and wind power inputs

  • Automatic generator transfer switching

  • Battery charging and power management

  • Skid-mounted, turnkey electrical solution

  • Designed and tested for remote, off-grid operation

Why Work with a Local Integrator?

The system powers external lighting to verify renewable-only operation, load handling, and automatic power management prior to final deployment. As a Wyoming-based electrical and controls integrator, Infinity Power Corp doesn’t just supply components — we design complete systems. Our customers benefit from:
  • Direct access to engineers and technicians

  • In-house testing and quality control

  • Faster troubleshooting and long-term support

  • Systems designed for real-world conditions, not just theoretical loads

The diagram illustrates integration of the solar panel array, wind turbine mast, battery bank, and control enclosure, with power routed underground to the cabin’s load center for a clean, protected installation. A dedicated ground rod at the solar skid ensures proper system grounding and long-term electrical safety.

This layout reflects Infinity Power Corp’s end-to-end system design approach, addressing power generation, storage, grounding, trenching requirements, and final load connection before field installation.
